Hip and Knee Degenerative Joint Disease Treatment: Update on the Search for the Fountain of (Joint) Youth

  • Discuss evidence-based treatment options for degenerative hip and knee conditions
  • Implement best practices of medical optimization for patients electing for hip or knee replacement surgery


AMA: The Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society is accredited by the Missouri State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAFP: Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending. 

ABIM: Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 8.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.

Nursing: Application for nursing credit has been filed with Johnson County Community College. Determination of credit is pending.
